Use Your Summer
to Make a Difference!

2016-2017 VISTAs

Are you or someone you know interested in spending the summer building skills and earning money for school while strengthening poverty-fighting programs in New Hampshire?

The Families in Transition (FIT) VISTA Program is looking for passionate self-starters to work hands-on within our community to improve access to comprehensive resources and promote healthy futures for homeless families and children in Manchester.

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) Summer Associates
serve full-time for 8-10 weeks, from late June/early July - August, in one of two different service projects at Families in Transition. These positions will build upon projects started by our year-long VISTA members, and offer individuals a unique opportunity to enhance both their community and their resume over the summer.

Benefits of completing VISTA Summer Associate service include: A $1,174.60 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award that can be used for school; on-site orientation and training; a living allowance to cover food, housing and other basic necessities during service; and access to the AmeriCorps eCommunity and Alumni Network.
